This policy explains what personal data Furmigo ("we", "us") collects when you use furmigo.in, our WhatsApp channel, our store and grooming services, and how we use and protect it. It is written to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Account and order details: name, mobile number, email, delivery address, order history, payment status (we never see or store full card numbers; payments are handled by our payment partners).
  • Pet profiles you add: pet name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, notes, vaccination dates and grooming history.
  • Verification data: a one-time code sent to your mobile on WhatsApp to confirm it is yours.
  • Messages you send us on WhatsApp, email or the site, so we can answer them.
  • Device and usage data: pages viewed, device type, approximate location and cookies, collected by our website platform and analytics tools.

How we use it

  • To process and deliver orders, book grooming and boarding, and send order, booking and vaccination reminders on WhatsApp, SMS or email.
  • To keep one customer record across our store and website, so your wallet, bills and pet profiles are available in both.
  • To answer support requests and handle returns.
  • To send offers and updates only if you opt in; you can opt out any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or using the unsubscribe link.
  • To prevent fraud, meet legal obligations (invoicing, GST) and improve the site.

Who we share it with

We share data only with partners who help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Shopify (our online store platform) and our checkout provider, to run the website and process orders.
  • Payment gateways and banks to process payments and refunds.
  • Courier partners to deliver your order (name, address, mobile).
  • WhatsApp Business service providers to send OTPs, invoices and booking messages.
  • Analytics and advertising tools (such as Google and Meta) in aggregated or pseudonymised form.

We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and the cart, and analytics/advertising cookies to understand traffic and show relevant ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work with non-essential cookies disabled.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently up to 8 years). Account and pet profiles are kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of a deletion request, except where we must retain them by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent for marketing, or raise a concern by writing to support@furmigo.in or WhatsApp +91 75938 03203. We respond within 30 days. You may also nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf as permitted by law.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will inform you and the authorities as required.

Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without a parent's consent.
